Meanwhile, I’m curled up in the library with projects that I’m avoiding, books I haven’t finished, and tumblr. I’m glad I get to be at home.
So my husband is in Europe without me, this time. But he’s sending me photos. Of food! These moules and frites look amazing!
This little button just popped up on my screen. I used to have this button. I remember wearing it once with overalls and round, blue-tinted John Lennon glasses. I went to an antiques “extravaganza” in Pennyslvania’s Amish country. (Great place for antiques, BTW. It happens three or four times a year. Go. Seriously.) A guy at one of the booths was quite bemused by me that day. I think it was the glasses. He said, “Yes, I believe if anyone has seen the future, it’s you.” It was a funny moment.
Oh, and I love Penguin Press!
From the General Motors Futurama Exhibit, 1940. Featured in the Harry Ransom Center’s upcoming “I Have Seen the Future: Norman Bel Geddes Designs America” exhibit.
Went to visit my sister Jane today. She has a cute one-eyed Boston Terrier called Beau. Isn’t he sweet?
Yum! Thanks Another Day, Another Night. I think I’ll make this for my late breakfast!!
